An AI receptionist that knows what it is not allowed to say.

Every AI receptionist sold into aesthetics clinics promises to answer the phone, book appointments and never miss an enquiry. Almost none say, in public, what they refuse to do. In a clinic that is the more important half, so this page leads with it, and with the honest status.

Short answer: Status, honestly: built and tested in code, not yet live for any clinic. It answers calls, books, reschedules and takes messages, and hands anything clinical to a person. Every reply is a draft until you approve it. This page changes the day the first clinic's line goes live.

What it does

What it refuses, by design

How a clinic switches it on

  1. A UK number is routed to Appointbox for your clinic. Keep your existing number by forwarding it, or publish the new one.
  2. You set the greeting, opening hours, what it may book, and whether confirmations auto-send.
  3. A test week with every transcript in your inbox, on the number nobody has yet.
  4. Go-live only when you say, and the status line on this page changes when the first clinic does.

Availability and price

Every feature is in every plan (Solo £39, Clinic £99 flat, Group £199 per location, VAT included), and the receptionist is a feature, not an add-on. A fair-use allowance for call minutes, and the price of minutes beyond it, will be published here with VAT before any clinic goes live. Nothing is billed that is not on this page.

A recording

Not yet. We will publish a recording of a real configured clinic line, with that clinic's permission, rather than a studio demo.

Where the regulators draw the line

The CQC's guidance on AI in health and care is about human oversight, transparency, accountability and monitoring of what the AI produces. The MHRA distinguishes administrative software from software that performs a medical function. An assistant that schedules, drafts and summarises sits on the administrative side of that line only as long as it stays there, which is why the refusals above are enforced in code and tested on every release. The line between an AI that answers your phone and an AI that practises medicine.

Questions

Is the AI receptionist live?

No. It is built and tested in code and is being configured clinic by clinic. No clinic's line is live, and this page will say so the day one is.

What happens if a caller describes a complication?

The caller hears your fixed acknowledgement and a named person at the clinic is alerted immediately. No AI response is generated.

Does it take card details?

Never. Deposits are taken through your existing payment link, sent by message.

Which phone system do I need?

None. A UK number is routed to Appointbox for your clinic; you can forward your existing number to it.
